Is this really what it means to "grow up"?

The passion I took for granted as a child,
the innocent selfishness,
the purity to shout "I want this!"
I feel like I've neatly discarded it all without even noticing.

This song tries to gather up those "lost things,"
but in the end, I convince myself they're "unnecessary."
It's a song full of contradictions and uncertainty.
