Artist Profile

  • Sette Mari

Music that shakes the soul - a unique sound painted by voice and guitar. Sette Mari is a pop-rock duo that blends passion and melancholy into songs that resonate deeply with listeners. Centered on original music, yet occasionally weaving in covers, their sound crosses borders and styles to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Formed in Los Angeles in March 2014, the duo began performing acoustic covers before quickly evolving into a full band showcasing original songs. That summer, they appeared at legendary Hollywood venues such as House of Blues and The Viper Room, capturing audiences with their heartfelt performances. In 2015, they relocated to Japan, marking their return with a debut show at Ikebukuro LIVE INN ROSA and the release of their self-produced EP Sette Mari -EP1-. The following year, they released their first single Mother and went on to perform at events including Toyosu Amu-Haku and the GUAM Summer Beach Fest, extending their presence internationally. Since then, Sette Mari has continued to perform actively, not only at live houses but also through regular shows at La Boheme Qualita in Shibuya and by providing music for stage productions. In March 2025, the duo released Umi ni Nare (Become the Sea), their first new song in seven years, a powerful track signaling a new chapter in their journey. Alongside this release, they have embraced live streaming as a major platform, reaching audiences beyond physical venues, with the vocalist's individual streaming activities also gaining wide support. Looking ahead, Sette Mari is preparing for their long-awaited one-man live concert in December 2025. With new music in the works and an unshakable commitment to their craft, they continue to deliver "music that shakes the soul" - a truly unique sound created by voice and guitar.
