A piano self-cover album by composer MiKa,
revisiting songs originally written for various artists.
Each of these songs first came to life through the voices and expressions of the artists who performed them.
This album is both a return to the melodies themselves
and a quiet gesture of gratitude to those artists.
From pop and R&B to gentle ballads,
the music is reimagined through the simple sound of a single piano.
The album moves through everyday moments,
the passing of seasons,
and memories drifting through the night sky.
The closing piece, Searching for a Vanished Star,
was originally created with vocalist Ray,
a longtime friend of over twenty years,
marking their reunion after nearly fifteen years.
Here, the songs return to where they began.
