"IEIE" is the 2nd single by 7th Hill, a Japanese creative group formed by NiinA (Music), JiN (Illustration), and Nakayu (Video). Following their debut single "AUAU" and leading into the upcoming "OAOA", this track serves as the second chapter of a 3-part trilogy exploring the journey through manic depression and recovery. Driven by a pop yet heavy and intense loud rock sound, the song depicts the wild emotional swings, confusion, and a seemingly positive yet deeply negative state of mind characteristic of manic depression. It expresses the haunting image of going brightly mad inside a closed room, desperately crying out simply for rest.
