Behind the Scenes:

This song was composed around the time of Obon, a period when I found myself reflecting on loved ones I'll never see again, whether they've passed away or simply drifted from my life.

The biggest challenge was finding the right expression for the lyrics.

"Wanting to disappear,
In the night where stars wander,
Wishing to remain,
A shooting star leaves behind a light as it fades away."

The original line was:
"In a night where lives that want to disappear wander, only the lives that didn't want to fade away are the ones that do."

The song "Hush of Dawn" was born from this idea, so while I didn't want the lyrics to be too direct, I also didn't want to obscure the meaning with vague metaphors. That's why I took some time to carefully craft the expressions.

The intro was created to evoke the stillness and solitude of late-night scenes, while the outro is meant to paint a picture of a dawn slowly growing more vivid, as it ushers in a morning tinged with both melancholy and hope.

When life gets really tough, and you're walking alone through the night with a desire to disappear, that might be you -or it might be me. In those moments, I believe that the memories and words of someone important can be what keeps us going. And even those who feel like disappearing, or those who have become stars, might unintentionally light up someone's heart.

We shine brighter than we realize, and it's in the darkness that this light is most visible. That's why I hope you always reach out for hope, no matter what. This song was created with that wish in mind.

But really, I'm just the one who made it -I want you to listen to it in your own way.
