Rock'n'Roll

JET RYU has released a new track titled "Sweet Punk!!!"
This release is a digital re-arrangement of an original song that garnered popularity during live performances in the 1990s. It features an intense yet melodic sound infused with the raw energy of early ska and rocksteady; layered with lyrics that depict heartache with a blend of sweetness and wistfulness, alongside an impressive horn section, the track creates a soulful and emotionally rich atmosphere.
"Sweet Punk!!!" marks the third digital release in a series, following "Escape Fantasy 1991" distributed globally on Spotify and other streaming platforms on July 4, 2026 and "Ame no Sidewalk" (Rainy Sidewalk), released on July 18.
As with the previous two releases, JET RYU handled not only the songwriting and composition but also the cover artwork. This ambitious work breathes new life into a long-loved song, elevating it to a modern sound while preserving the passionate energy of the original era.
