Namaatatakai

Featuring simple language and minimalist sounds, Yu Ishihama's album Namaatatakai draws inspiration from short-short stories and explores the subtle sense of unease that lingers in everyday life -the feeling that something is never quite resolved.

With nostalgic melodies and a laid-back tempo, the album evokes the intimate atmosphere of bedside music. Yet its distinctive tension chords and unconventional use of language create an ambiguous mood, leaving listeners caught between a sense of comfort and unease.

Inspired by poetry collections, the album consists of eight tracks with a total runtime of under 20 minutes, offering a concise yet evocative listening experience.
