The up-and-coming crew Tokyo Young Vision has released their third song of 2024, titled "MATSURI." Following the grand soundscapes of their previous tracks "HYAKKIYAKO" and "MORIAGE," this new song continues the overarching musical theme while also serving as a fitting conclusion to this summer.
The title "MATSURI" (meaning "festival" in Japanese) perfectly encapsulates the entertainment Tokyo Young Vision produces, which has been attracting growing attention from listeners. The song vividly conveys the atmosphere of their live performances, as if each moment on stage were a festival in itself.
The shouts of "Seiya!" heard throughout the beat were recorded by all the members together, and producer Foux skillfully integrated them into a modern Hip-Hop track.
This song is the final festival of the summer, brought to you by Tokyo Young Vision.
This crew came together through cyphers at Yoyogi Park, with members who originally started out as solo artists or part of other units. They really kicked things off as a group in 2021 with their first EP, "Chawalit". Their track "TOKIOKI" featuring OZworld and Kuja, became a major summer anthem that year. In 2023, they leveled up by adding three new members - Asiff (MC), Rento Nakamori, and LUKE (DJ) - joining Hideyoshi, DALU, OSAMI, Big Mike, and DJ NORIO. Together, they dropped their second EP, "Chawalit Vol.2" and hit the road for their first club tour. While the members kept releasing solo projects, the crew grabbed the spotlight again in April 2024 with "HYAKKIYAKO" kicking off a streak of tracks featuring all the MCs. One of their biggest hits, "MORIAGE (Get Hyped)" became a festival favorite, turning up crowds everywhere. What makes this crew stand out is their versatility - Hideyoshi, DALU, OSAMI, Big Mike, and Asiff can effortlessly switch between classic and unique styles. All the MCs bring serious rap skills, and each one adds their own vibe to the hooks, making them the perfect example of a crew that's greater than the sum of its parts.
