Musician (Piano, Keyboard) Composer, Arranger, Lyricist / Organizer Born in Kyoto, Akane Doi was introduced to keyboard instruments at an early age under the influence of her mother, an electone teacher. Centered on piano-based performance and original works, she is active as a composer and arranger across a wide range of fields including film, visual media, spoken word, theater, games, and commercials. She is known for her strength in constructing music and sound direction that aligns precisely with a project's concept and narrative context. In addition to her own creative output, she frequently works as a live support musician, bandleader, recording musician, and arranger for other artists. In 2020, she founded the music and event production company doin' art. Through her own productions, she continues to explore new forms of expression and entertainment in collaboration with fellow musicians and creators. Her activities extend beyond music into diverse fields such as film, theater, dance, painting, ceramics, and agriculture. Through cross-disciplinary collaboration, she seeks integrated forms of expression and expands the possibilities of music beyond genre and conventional boundaries. Musically, her work is rooted in pop music while flexibly incorporating elements of classical, jazz, and folk traditions. Her piano sound -often described as "singing" -gently resonates with listeners, quietly touching their inner emotions. She has also earned a strong reputation for improvisational live performances with voice actors, dancers, and visual artists, excelling in free-form collaborative performances that emphasize spontaneity and dialogue.
