"Meguré, Sekai" (Turn, World) follows a girl through spring, summer, autumn and winter as she keeps rediscovering the world from new angles.
She begins under the cherry blossoms surrounded by things she cannot yet name, chases thunderheads through summer, learns in autumn that ripening and falling are the same season, and reaches a winter where nothing blooms at all. By the time the year comes full circle, she understands that growth is exactly this: the same scenery starting to look different.
Musically it is fast electro-pop built around driving electric guitar, layered with NES-style 8-bit chiptune - square-wave lead, triangle bass, noise-channel hats - trading lines with glittering piano and retro digital synths. The centerpiece is an asymmetric stereo design: the chiptune arpeggio ping-pongs from left to right, and in the verses a left-channel guitar riff is answered by a right-channel square wave. At the winter break the entire mix collapses into mono, then snaps wide open for the final chorus with no riser at all.
Like a single seed carried in a pocket, what quietly grew roots out of sight breaks through again come spring. A five-minute journey through four seasons, for anyone who gets to start over as many times as they need.
