Takarazuka's pop project The Penelopes release a four-track collection for the first time in approximately six years. While retaining their melodic musicality, which draws upon the fine tradition of British and American pop rock from the 1960s to the 1980s, they now seek to carve out a new world with a harder sound.

Artist Profile

  • The Penelopes

Formed in Takarazuka in 1990 by songwriter Tatsuhiko Watanabe. Following participation in the 1992 Por Supuesto Records compilation "The Birth Of The True", they released their debut album "In A Big Golden Cage" in 1993. Subsequently, they contributed to numerous domestic and international compilations while releasing multiple albums. Since the 2010s, they have shifted to digital distribution and remain active. This work marks their first release in approximately six years since "Pacific Amplifier" in November 2019.
