All in My Head

Keagan Raphael

Feels like summer in August

No more excuses, any direction, which way you going

Nobody knows this but I’m secretly

We can have this conversation on another other day

Talk about the things I should have done, or should I say

In a second it’s over (Did I have to begin)

Was it all in my head

Was it, was it all in my head

Dreaming, was I dreaming of nothing

Play it over again in my head

Said it’s something that I can forget

But she lives on top of a castle

Her eyes are covered in gold

Her whisper comes from the ocean

(And my life was already over)

Is there something waiting

Lately I’m just saying (Do you wanna talk to me)

But it’s all that I did in abundance

But it’s easier said left to nothing

Feels like summer in August

No more excuses, any direction, which way you going

Nobody knows this but I’m secretly

We can have this conversation on another other day

Talk about the things I should have done, or should I say

In a second it’s over (Did I have to begin)

Was it all in my head

Was it, was it all in my head

Dreaming, was I dreaming of nothing

Play it over again in my head

Said it’s something that I can forget

As the first single off of a long-awaited debut album, Keagan Raphael appears to have grown both vocally and lyrically in his latest single "All in My Head". "A piece of an uncharted puzzle" is how Keagan best describes this song. Like a current in a waterfall, Keagan delights in the journey but wonders whether this is the end or the beginning.

Sustaining a vibrant and melancholy atmosphere while hoisting a flag of uncertainty. This is the feeling the singer & producer emphasized when making "All in My Head" because this is his story. Moving to Japan at the age of 24 Keagan has found Tokyo to be breathtaking, but fears it may all be but a dream.
All the bright lights and fancy things seem perfect until one realizes only memories stay in your heart and mind and not material things. Memories of what...or rather who is the question Keagan has yet to answer. Perhaps the full picture will be laid out through his upcoming album.

Set to release his album in late August/ Early September 2024, this is our first glimpse into the South African artist's world. While still performing in Tokyo, Keagan has his hopes set on a European tour in 2025 and expanding his story around the world.
