This song has a very unique story!

When I was a child, I would sometimes tease a girl I liked.

This story depicts such a memory.

When I lifted up the skirt of the girl I liked, she hated me and never spoke to me again. This is the story of such bitter memories... and the two of us meeting again 10 years later.

The English title of this song is "I Still Love You."

The Japanese title is "Hirari Chirari."

Let me explain what this title means.

In Japan, onomatopoeia is often used to express sounds, emotions, actions, etc. The lyrics of this song include words that describe the appearance of something gently swaying, such as "frills," "fluttering," "swaying," and "fluffy," as well as words that describe the appearance of something catching a glimpse, such as "flickering," "glittery," "glittery," and "sparkling."

The meaning of this song is as follows.

Original song title: Hirari, Torirari

"Hirari" is an onomatopoeia that means flipping up a skirt, and "chirari" is a glimpse of underwear.

When the two meet again 10 years later, the onomatopoeias "Hirari" and "Torirari" are used, but this time with a different meaning.

When the two meet again 10 years later, "Hirari" represents the sound of a ribbon wrapped around the chest swaying in the wind, and "chirari" represents the gesture of glancing at the other person's face.

I hope to express through the lyrics the fun of Japanese wordplay, where the same onomatopoeia has various meanings.

This song is a story about regretting adolescent pranks. At the beginning, the narrator remembers a time when he was teasing a person he liked. As he passed by, he lifted up her pink skirt and peeked at her underwear. It was just a prank, and the boy made a V sign. However, he imagined the person he liked chasing after him.

However, the girl began to cry, and seeing her tears, the boy realized that he had hurt someone important to him. Although he wanted to get closer to the girl, he did not know how to express his feelings, so a distance grew between them, and for many years, their relationship was awkward.

To the boy, she shone like a Madonna. Even in everyday life, his heart beats when he sees the Madonna he admires. The narrator did not intend to hurt anyone, it was just a prank, but it was misunderstood...

Time passed, and ten years later, the two met again by chance. At that time, he was captivated by her beauty, and the world regained its color again. After many years of regret, he finally mustered up the courage to tell her his true feelings and apologize.

And finally, he confessed that he still loved her.

That is the story of this song.

In my younger years, I was active on stage as part of a musical theater troupe. This led me to develop an interest in gospel music, and I had the opportunity to perform in concerts and participate in recordings as a family member of Yuka Kamebuchi & VOJA (The Voices of Japan), as well as occasionally as a member of the Anointed Mass Choir produced by Chie Ayado. After that, I shifted my focus to being a magician, spending nearly 20 years working both onstage and behind the scenes. Eventually, I felt the limits of my physical energy and beauty, and decided to retire from the stage. In recent years, with the rise of AI, even someone like me with no formal music background has been able to start making music. I've begun using AI to create original songs. I've always enjoyed writing lyrics and coming up with imagery, and now I'm bringing to life lyrics I wrote around 30 years ago. It's been a joyful process to see them become part of my music today. I will continue to create music in a variety of genres, not limited to J-pop or rock. Also, I would like to apologize to everyone. I found a mistake in the description of my song "DIVA." The date written in my old lyrics was February 9, 1997.
