Whispers float through amber trees
A hush that drapes the town with ease
Stones laid out like sacred notes
Each one sings as silence floats
Beneath the railway’s ghostly hum
I hum a song I’ve not yet sung
It’s written in the shifting light
And echoed in the mountain’s white
This is my White Song, soft and slow
A tune the falling ash trees know
Laced with breath and chill and grace
A melody that time won’t chase
Whispers born from stone and sky
A love that never said goodbye
Your coat still sways inside my mind
Like autumn smoke that’s left behind
We stood where river’s glass had stilled
And spoke of things we’d never build
But even what we leave unsaid
Still lingers where our feet once tread
The earth, the air, they hold our lines
Etched between the power lines
This is my White Song, light as snow
Where silence speaks and sorrows grow
Stones beneath the maple’s frame
Still murmur softly with your name
In every hush, I hear you there—
A gentle ghost in autumn air
A scarf upon the railway gate
A note that never touched the page
Your voice in wind — I hesitate…
But still, I walk the stone-paved stage
This is our White Song, yours and mine
Still echoing through space and time
No need to speak, the breeze will do—
It carries all I meant to you
And in the hush where seasons meet
Your shadow moves with quiet feet
White like stone, like breath, like song…
That’s where you’ve been all along

Artist Profile
starclime
There are still landscapes in music that we have yet to see. starclime is a fourteen-member music project. Taking City Pop as one of its starting points, starclime moves freely through rock, jazz, soul, R&B,EDM, classical music, ambient, experimental music, hip-hop, and musical traditions from around the world. Rather than remaining within a single genre, the project absorbs the colour, rhythm, culture and atmosphere of different forms of music, reshaping them into something new. The changing seasons. Journeys towards unfamiliar places. Memories of somewhere to return to. The distance between people. Feelings that lie beyond words. These landscapes and emotions flow throughout the music of starclime. Some things can only be expressed through song. Others only begin to reveal themselves when words disappear. For starclime, vocal works and instrumentals therefore belong equally to the same musical world. Each member brings a different musical background and a different perspective to every work, while some continue to discover and develop their own musical identity. Rather than preserving a single finished form, starclime allows the music itself to grow through change. starclime does not seek simply to add more genres. Its aim is to renew the way music itself can be perceived through the meeting of different musical worlds. Towards music that has yet to be named. Towards landscapes we have yet to discover. starclime will continue to present new ways of seeing and hearing music.
