This song focuses not on the gorgeous cherry blossoms, but on the transience of falling petals.
This transience is overlaid on the feelings of the protagonist, who is unable to take a step forward, and depicts his hesitation and changing resolve.

While the song has a rock sound centered around powerful brass riffs, it deliberately avoids distorted guitar.
By reversing the bass and brass phrases mid-production, the sound was elevated to one with a unique driving force.

While facing the season of spring, this song does not end as just a beautiful cherry blossom song.
A unique spring song that is typical of Aimaima, with a slightly hooky approach.

Artist Profile

  • AIMAIMA

The name Aimaima comes from making music in the aima, the moments in between work and family. Rooted in pop, Aimaima creates music that flows across styles: heartfelt ballads, playful lyrics without heavy messages, and songs infused with bass solos and session-like energy. After years of running a non-profit space for others to make music, the realization came that personal expression had been left behind. That was the spark to start Aimaima, a solo project with the ambitious goal of releasing 100 songs. Every track is written, arranged, performed, and mixed alone, ensuring a steady stream of independent creations. One signature track, Ivory, layers multiple bass lines and boldly combines rap vocals with a central bass solo. It captures the essence of a bassist bringing improvisational energy into the framework of pop. There is no strict target listener, but some lyrics reflect a perspective as a father, which may especially resonate with parents. More than chasing trends or external validation, the project is about leaving behind proof of life as a creator. If someday, someone in the future happens to listen and realizes: There was an artist like this. That is enough.
