Tiny Step "Southside" Trio delivers a bold cover of jazz saxophonist Paul Desmond's masterpiece, "Take Ten." This unique rocksteady arrangement pays deep homage to Desmond, featuring a tight and dense ensemble that masterfully utilizes the space only an organ trio can create.
Tiny Step "Southside" Trio is one of the several units formed by a Hammond organist and a Keyboardist Yokinori Yamaguchi. In 1999, Yamaguchi created the Hammond organ-centered instrumental band FULL SWING and had performed all over Japan. While working with his original band, he has performed with well known artists such as Keiichi Sokabe's PINK BAND, Magokoro Brothers, and Sunny Day Service. He's been working with various artists/bands as well as for commercial music. In 2015, FULL SWING went on hiatus, and Yamaguchi started his new career under the name of Tiny Step. The unit collaborates with a guitarist and a drummer And they produce a Caribbean style of music such as Rocksteady, Ska or Calypso.
