I like the full moon
But maybe I prefer a crescent
If you ask me why…
I can’t quite explain
Maybe because when it’s missing a piece
It somehow feels more like the moon
The full moon is bright
But I like nights with a crescent
If you ask me why…
I might struggle to answer
Maybe because when the sky is darker
The stars shine more beautifully
But tonight, it’s a full moon—
And an exceptionally large one
The whole world is lit so clearly…
I feel as if my thoughts
Are about to be laid bare
It’s the moon’s fault
The moon is so beautiful tonight
So let’s be a little romantic
Shall we dance, just the two of us?
Illuminated by the moonlight…
It’s as if we’re standing on a stage
Surely right now, we’re shining
Look up at the night sky—
Surrounded by stardust
The moon moves me…
The moon excites me
The moon moves you…
The moon excites you
The moon has…
The moon has that power
If the moon…
What would happen if it disappeared?
So please…
Please keep shining like this, moon
Moonlight is beautiful…
Because tonight, it’s a full moon—
An exceptionally large one
The whole world is lit so clearly…
If only I could see
Your feelings as clearly, too
It’s the moon’s fault
The moon is so beautiful tonight
So let’s be a little romantic
Shall we dance, just the two of us?
Illuminated by the moonlight…
It’s as if we’re standing on a stage
Surely right now, we’re shining
Look up at the night sky—
Surrounded by stardust
A starry night, with you
The stars we saw
The hands we held—
I won’t forget
Near dawn
When the night is almost over
Even the setting moon is beautiful
It was a very romantic evening
But the moon is still beautiful
So let’s be romantic a little longer
Let’s keep dancing, just the two of us
Illuminated by the moonlight…
Tonight, this is our stage
Surely even now, we’re shining
Let’s keep looking up at the night sky—
Surrounded by stardust
On such a beautiful night
We can’t help but be
More romantic than usual
Illuminated by the moonlight…
Let’s keep this stage tonight
As our little secret
Only the night sky will ever know
Surrounded by stardust
I really do prefer a crescent moon
But sometimes, a night like this—
With such a beautiful full moon—
Is perfect
The full moon makes me romantic…

I used to play bass in a band, and for a while I was also the vocalist. We mainly performed original rock and punk songs. After the band broke up, I stopped making music for a long time. At the beginning of 2025, I encountered AI music generation while creating a theme song for an event, and that led me to start writing lyrics again. "I still prefer songs and music created by people over those generated by AI. I don't think that will ever change. However, starting a music career requires instruments, equipment, and technical knowledge, which always felt like a huge hurdle for me. With the arrival of generative AI, many of those barriers have been lowered. Of course, new challenges have come with it as well... but even so, I'm excited about the possibilities that this technology offers. That said, if I leave everything to AI, I don't feel any personal attachment to the songs, so I write all the lyrics myself." "As for songwriting, when I'm writing lyrics, I already see the song's imagery and hear the music in my head. That's why, once I finish writing the lyrics, I first create the jacket artwork based on that vision. After that, I use AI to generate the music that had been floating in my mind during the writing process, recreating it over and over again until it matches my image as closely as possible. Then, I fine-tune the details of the arrangement until I'm satisfied, and only then do I release the song." "Since the vocals are not human, sometimes the words come out in a strange or awkward way, and I find myself going, 'Huh? What did it just say?' But honestly, I think that's part of AI's current charm. I'm sure one day it will become flawless... but in a way, I think that might feel a little lonely."
