K A I is a 6-song instrumental EP produced by Omiyuki CHANNEL, a music unit consisting of YOUNG-G and BIG BEN of stillichimiya, with new member Kawa a.k.a Cosmoecho.
This completely instrumental work, which gives the impression of the beginning of the second chapter, is constructed entirely with hardware such as vintage synthesizers, drum machines, and samplers of yesteryear. The sounds of Intercity analog mixing consoles, said to be the best in Japan, also play a central role in this work. This is a sonic travel picture scroll set in Yamanashi, Japan, with a theme of place and sound.

    A music unit formed in 2008 by Young-G and Big Ben of stillichimiya, a movement based in Ichinomiya-cho, Fuefuki-shi, Yamanashi, Japan. In 2020, Kawa a.k.a cosmoecho was added to the group to make up the current three-member lineup. They have produced and remixed for Stillichimiya, Dengaryu, NORIKIYO, BRON-K, Chinza DOPENESS, CHIYORI, Meiso, and Rumi. They take their name from "Omiyuki-san," a Sanja Gokosai festival held in their hometown of Ichinomiya-cho, Fuefuki-shi, Yamanashi Prefecture. They have developed the "Omiyuki sound" by incorporating the spirituality and worldview of "Omiyuki-san," which is also the nickname of Konohanasakuyahime, into their sound, interpreting the local and the global from their unique perspective.
