Born on October 7 1997 in Yamashina Kyoto Riku began his journey as a REGGAE DEEJAY at the age of 14 and during his teenage years his tracks I & I and Takaramono both reached number one on the reggae charts which brought him into the spotlight as one of the most promising young artists At 18 he held a solo concert at KYOTO MUSE with great success Seeking new possibilities he moved abroad at 20 for language studies After a temporary return to Japan he focused on preparing for university while releasing Mother Song a track he originally composed at the age of 14 From the age of 23 to 28 he spent about five years living as a student in North America mainly in Vancouver where he absorbed diverse perspectives and experiences In September 2025 he returned to Japan and restarted his musical career under the name Riku Miyagaki He released his EP A chapter which marks the beginning of a new era blending his wide musical influences with the refined sensibilities shaped through his life overseas Produced by QUARTER DELI RECORDS
