EYRIE's debut single "43rd Sunset" was composed with the composition of a piano duo and drums.
The title of the song is a tribute to the scene in "The Little Prince" where the prince talks about the sunset. What was the prince's experience of seeing the sunset for the 43rd time in a day on the small planet where he lives? We hope you can imagine such a story.
EYRIE is an instrumental band featuring two keyboardists and a drummer. The band was formed in 2021 by Eiko Susuki (pf), Rina Kohmoto (pf), and Takuto Yamachika (dr), who crossed paths while studying at Berklee College of Music. Their debut live performance at the FUJIROCK FESTIVAL 2021, shortly after the band's formation, garnered attention for its unexpectedly aggressive performance, defying the expectations set by their trio lineup. In 2022, they released their first album titled "Eyriesii," paying homage to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's "The Little Prince." In 2024, made a major debut with the album 'HINOTORI' commemorating the 70th anniversary of the serialization of Osamu Tezuka's 'Phoenix'. Currently, the band hosts a regular music program, "Early Birds Music," airing every Sunday morning from 6:00 AM on interfm.
