The taiko dub-breakbeat band ngoma, comprised of Japanese drums, percussion, bass, sax, live dub effects, and DAW, released their Banquet EP on a limited edition 12-inch vinyl in 2010. The DJ DUCT remix of Voodoo eyes are shut, which was included on the EP, has finally been re-released digitally. The original track, which creates a unique worldview with its undulating time signatures, has been transformed into dope breakbeats through DJ DUCT's unique hip-hop interpretation! A must-listen for fans of instrumental hip-hop and abstract music.

ngoma
和太鼓、ベース、パーカッション、Sax、 MPC2000、ターンテーブル、ダブ・エフェクトなどで編成されるブレイクビーツバンド。スワヒリ語で「太鼓/ 宴/ 踊り」などを意味する単語[ngoma ンゴマ] をバンド名に冠し、ともすれば飛び道具になってしまうほど個性的な「和太鼓」を一つの楽器としてバンドに融合させ、精神と身体を共に昇華させる宴のようなグルーヴが弾けるライブは必見。2005年3月の結成以来ライブを積み重ね、様々な野外フェス、全国ツアー、自主企画[BANQUET]などを通し着実にその名を広めていく。音源は2006年に井上薫率いるSEEDS AND GROUNDのコンピレーションCDに楽曲提供したのを皮切りに、自主レーベル"sonimage-Lab.inc"より12inchアナログを3枚、2008年にフルアルバムCDをリリース。岩城ケンタロウ、DJ DAIKEI、KAITO (a.k.a Hiroshi Watanabe)、井上薫らが手がけたREMIXも好評で、ロンドンのラジオ局BBCの看板番組であるジャイルスピーターソンの"World Wide"で立て続けにオンエアされるなど、国内外で高く評価されている。
