  Akane Hattori, based in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.leads the solo project "AND," where she showcases her talents as a vocalist, composer, and synth player. In 2021, she released her debut album sweet sad memories, featuring five tracks. This work, blending the emotional sound of felt piano with floating electro synths and vocal loops, ranked in the top 20 of the Tunecore Alternative chart.One of the songs included in the album, "Rain Drops," was selected for Spotify's "Silence and Twilight" playlist, garnering a lot of attention. In 2024, she released a single covering the Okinawan folk song Chinsagu no Hana. The gently looping phrases, like waves, are accompanied by her rich, captivating voice, slowly drawing listeners into another world. In live performances, she improvises by looping hand-played phrases in real time, layering synths and vocals. Her performances range from danceable rhythms to explorations of a more pop-oriented soundscape.
