It's a song called 'Shiroku Naritai no' (I Want to Be White) that cries out the sorrow of a broken heart - a sadness so deep you want to disappear. It's arranged as piano rock, with piano as the main instrument and a little guitar.
The title phrase 'Shiroku naritai no' originally had nothing to do with heartbreak; it was something my son used to say when he was small, meaning 'please turn on the light.' I thought the idea - turning on the light = bright white light = wanting to be white - was interesting, so I played with those associations and the song was born.
