Artist Profile

  • Tomohiko Imamula

A singer-songwriter born in Shizuoka, currently based in Tochigi. Active since 2008. Performing not only in live houses and on street corners, but also in fishing ports and atop Mount Fuji's highest peak, Kengatmine places never meant for music. At 3,776 meters above sea level, the music stopped foreign climbers in their tracks. Even through the pandemic, the music never stopped guitar strings kept ringing out in forests, along riverbeds, and in parks. A style defined by nothing more than an acoustic guitar and a voice, in pursuit of transforming the air of any given space. In 2024, Fuji Rock became a first-hand experience. The feeling discovered at Field of Heaven where music and space dissolve into one another echoed something at the very core of this artist's sound.
