An experimental duo formed by multi-instrumentalist, Mahaya Takara and singer-songwriter, Madoka Oono based in Tokyo, Japan. A performance centered on African folk instruments such as Takara's Electric ngoni and kalimba, while Oono's mbira and kalimba, and simple and mysterious Oono's singing. The gravelly tone of the earthy and the cosmic mingling together strikes your ears. Focusing on pieces composed for poetry by Emily Dickinson, 19th-century American poet, as well as adaptations of Soseki Natsume 's works, original music and reading works. It seems that poetry of Dickinson, who couldn't have faith in the church, is unleashed in a dream beyond by being combined with the instrument (kalimba) for communicating with ancestors and spirits. It's deep and friendly, as if you could open up to a lot of "I" being scattered between the many resonances and overtones music.
