10 songs from the musical experiments in the basement.

The 23rd May, 2021 will marks the 15th year anniversary of the debut album 'Remmings' from Anoice, an instrumental music band featuring a magnificent cinematic sound. It will also be 15 years since two-fourth of Anoice, Takahiro Kido and Yuki Murata released the first collaboration album 're-Silence' under the name of Cru. This year, Cru will release their second album 'music from the underground' which is also their first work in 15 years.

Cru is a contemporary/experimental music project which records the improvisational performances by Takahiro Kido and Yuki Murata. The beautiful sounds are created by predominantly two grand pianos, with accents sometimes provided by additional acoustic musical instruments, and electronic sounds made from these acoustic musical instruments. They record the various colours of the piano sounds by not only playing the keys, but rubbing its strings, generating feedback sounds by using magnetic vibrations, and hitting its body.

This second album 'music from the underground' was recorded from their improvisations in the third basement floor of a large concert hall during their free time whilst recording works for Anoice's forthcoming new album. However, Cru's songs have thrilling yet beautiful sounds which differ from the precisely-designed creations from their bands such as Anoice, RiLF, and Films, and also their individual solo projects.
