Abiru

This song expresses the journey from emotional liberation from the painful memories engraved in my teenage years, to the physical freedom of leaving everyday life in Japan and flying out to a distant foreign land where both paths intersect and move toward the light.

While spending time abroad, breathing in the unfamiliar air and seeing the world through a different lens, I realized that even the sun had a different color and temperature than the one I always knew. That discovery shook my heart and set my emotions in motion, all of which are captured and carried on a beat shaped by electronic textures and a New R&B feel.
