The following is our personal thoughts on creating the "Meditation of Compassion" sound source, so please read it as a reference only.
Modern human society is extremely complex, like a mosaic of good and bad fortune.
Competition arises, and there are those who win and are happy, and those who lose and are unhappy. However, everyone loses when they are unable to maintain their strength due to old age or illness. And then you experience misfortune.
These relative happiness and unhappiness are all born from self-centered judgments that arise from life's survival instinct.
The Buddha showed us how to overcome spiritual ignorance, which is basically thought in this life, by teaching compassion, which is non-egoism.
Suttanipata, a primitive Buddhist scripture that was preached to monks who became ordained monks, has a chapter called the Sutra. This is the fundamental idea of Buddha's teachings, and the path of compassion is the only path that humanity should follow.
Master Rev.Alubomulle Sumanasara Thero of the Japan Theravada Buddhist Church teaches compassion meditation in order to cultivate the Buddhist compassion not only for monks but also for us laypeople.
It is summarized in words that are easy to understand and remember even for ordinary people, so by repeating it in your mind,
Your heart will begin to move with compassion.
If you keep doing it, your worries and suffering will decrease, your mind will calm down, and your physical condition caused by stress will decrease. And your attitude will naturally change to a kinder one that makes people around you feel at ease.
An attitude that says "I'm better" or "I'm right" naturally creates harsh social phenomena around us. However, the social phenomenon that will be created by a kind heart that makes the people around you feel at ease will be different from that.
This time, MandalaMari sang the compassion meditation proposed by Master Rev.Alubomulle Sumanasara Thero of the Japan Theravada Buddhist Church, set to Indian music. Of course, the music was produced by Kunjubihari
If you like it, please listen to it again and again.
Memorize the compassion meditation and sing it.
and
Let's shift from a selfish mindset to a compassionate mindset!
May all living things be happy.
