That dusty wooden box

I met the time I’d long forgot

From the spinning black disc’s groove

A faded, warped melody moves

The sunset light slips through the glass

And gently wraps that vinyl mass

Fragments stuck in frozen time

Where the needle’s chosen track will flow

My heart begins to follow

Deep inside the winding groove

Echoes sound, and start to move

A cracked tone, a wounded cry

A worn-out note that cannot lie

This imperfect melody is mine

Fingertips trace the spiral line

Rough and broken, chipped by time

A sleeping story, dark and deep

Awakens now from ancient sleep

The blackened mass begins again
