Drinking Blues
Kaori Yanagi and the Drinking Bastards
Full album by the jazz song band "Kaori Yanagi and the Drinking Bastards," led by singer-songwriter Kaori Yanagi. This is truly a "2025 Japanese song" with a motif of prewar Japanese jazz and the world view of lyrics of songs from the 50s and 60s added. The album also focuses on analog-feeling full of recordings that express the rawness of the records of those days. This music goes well with alcoholic beverages.
Artist Profile
Kaori Yanagi and the Drinking Bastards
Kaori Yanagi is a singer-songwriter in Shinjuku. She is the vocalist of the jazz song band "Kaori Yanagi to Sake-Drinking Yaro Kyoukai" led by Yanagi. She also runs Kaorino Yume Ha Yoru Hiraku, a Showa-era song record bar in Shinjuku's Golden Gai district. She is also a whiskey connoisseur, sake taster, and antique kimono coordinator. Her music is a jazzy arrangement of the "present" in the nostalgic world of the Showa period, or "2025 Japanese songs. The tone of her voice, which has a fine range, continues to warm the hearts of a wide range of music lovers. We hope you will enjoy listening to "Another Showa Song" with a glass of whisky.
