Written during an early morning at Setagaya, Tokyo, while watching a stranger smoke a cigarette from the balcony of his apartment. Putting myself in his shoes, passing thoughts come with every inhale and exhale, reminiscing about the sad and fond memories; The beat carries hope with a tinge of melancholy.

Artist Profile

Nine Tales
Nine Tales is a beatmaker from Tokyo, Japan, who expresses deep human instincts and emotions through a coarse ambiance, akin to the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi. His love for old hardware samplers creates a rough yet soothing texture to his beats that are reminiscent of the 90s-a somewhat lost art in today's digital world. This specific warmth brings listeners back to their essence and pure self. Laugh, dance, or cry; all emotions are welcome here.
