Takehiro has previously created works themed around scenes such as travel.
For the past few years, he has mainly released albums and singles featuring nursery rhymes, animals, and songs targeted at families.
This latest release marks his first return to easy listening in a long time.
The album features 13 tracks from the many works of Takahiro Watanabe, paying homage to the greats of easy listening of the past, including his much-admired Paul Mauriat, Franck Pourcel, Caravelli, and Percy Faith. Two of the tracks are new, and some previously released songs have been re-arranged.
Elegant strings, nostalgic melodies, and light rhythms - this is a "long-awaited musical journey" dedicated to all lovers of easy listening.
Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1983, he is a composer, arranger, and player of the piano and synthesizer. After leaving his position as a school teacher (Japanese language) due to health issues, he founded WATATAKE Sound Co., Ltd., where he managed sound assets and engaged in music and video production from 2013 to 2017. In late 2017, he signed a contract with TuneCore to distribute his original music both domestically and globally. He gained recognition for a collection of Japanese nursery rhyme covers released in 2018 since then, he has continued to release arrangements of traditional nursery rhymes and songs, as well as humorous original compositionsoften featuring animal themes. He also creates easylistening music, a genre he has been familiar with since childhood. Influenced by masters of the easylistening genre (such as Paul Mauriat and Franck Pourcel), legendary film composers (including Henry Mancini, Lalo Schifrin, and Francis Lai) and icons of Brazilian music such as bossa nova pioneer Antonio Carlos Jobim and Ivan Lins he crafts music that resonates with a wide range of generations. Following a hiatus due to health concerns, he resumed live performances in 2026, with further events scheduled for 2027. A staunch opponent of AI in creative work, he handles every aspect of his musicfrom composition to arrangemententirely on his own.
