In the depths of shadow where no light is born

The wind like blades rends flesh and soul

Through the silent, forsaken forest I wander

Clutching prayers unheard by gods or men

Time itself has ceased its march

The heartbeat fades into the void

And silence reigns as sovereign of the world

Named a child of shadow

I have dwelt where no sun has shone

Merging with the stillness of eternal night

I veil my breath, erase my form

The footprints lost in mire and clay

Remain unseen, a hidden guide

Though sorrow’s storm rains endlessly

Yet still my steps refuse to halt

Though I fall, though I break

A flame within my breast still roars

Though I sink into the abyss’s edge

Its pulse endures, undying still

Among the shards of shattered dreams

The seeds of hope yet slumber deep

Through pain I learn, through grief I know:

The proof of life resounds within

Let there be Light!—O heart within me

Rend the heavens, pierce the storm!

Shatter the chains of despair’s dominion

And seize with hand the crown of hope!
