This is a self-cover of a song he wrote for Tsubaki Factory. The lyrics have been slightly tweaked from the original to be more male-oriented.
While there's a trend these days to avoid using the word "you" in lyrics, this song stands out as a "love song sung by a delinquent," which is the original form of black music, and Nakajima Takumi's singing of "you" is rather characteristic, making it a truly SWEET SOUL song. Though the melody is pop, the dance beat has a comfortable, heavy bass. The high-range strings, which are the polar opposite, are also beautiful. The distorted horn section, which deliberately tries to muddy the mix, is also stylish. The cutting of "you," which carries through with the same riff even as the scene changes, is also truly SOUL. This song can be said to be part of Nakajima Takumi's SWEET SOUL series, which continues the evolution of "My Days for You."
