  • Masaki Matsubara

    Masaki Matsubara, the most trusted session player in Japan, had supported Japanese pop music with his singing guitar for many years. Since his debut at the age of 23, he had participated in recording over 10,000 songs. His guitar play was indispensable for the recording of Japanese big star artists such as Yumi Matsutoya, Seiko Matsuda and etc. His splendid ad-lib solo of J-Pop masterpiece Midnight Door, Stay With Me, by Miki Matsubara, which is lately popular all over the world, is still impressive for everyone. He produced Rachel Bissey's CD in which he perfomed with Joe Sample, Alex Acun, Neil Larsen and etc. Since releasing his first solo album RUUMU Sand in 1978, he had released 24 solo albums and 3 best albums. However MasakiMatsubara's guitar play is still heard all over the world today, unfortunately Masaki Matsubara passed away in 2016 due to illness. It is planned that the past albums of Masaki Matsubara will be delivered sequentially one by one in music distribution service very soon.
