Kenta Shoji releases his new single "Like A Roach" on July 18, 2026.
The track has been selected as the ending theme for "Shinobu to Narumi no Dokuzetsu American Life," one of Japan's most prominent podcasts and a two-time winner of the Japan Podcast Awards Listener's Choice (2022 & 2023). The show reaches tens of thousands of listeners across Japan, the US, and beyond - audiences with a deep connection to both Japanese and American culture.

"Like A Roach" is an uptempo J-Pop/City Pop anthem influenced by Bruno Mars and Michael Jackson, blending Japanese and English lyrics around the theme of resilience and identity. This is the first of four singles Kenta Shoji will release throughout 2026.

    Singer-songwriter from Japan. Kenta grew up with R&B and being taken big inspiration from the Japanese pop duo CHEMISTRY, he gave himself a go withsinging himself, started playing the piano when he was 20, completely self-taught. In 2019, he made his own journey to New York from Tokyo, kept singing on the streets and in clubs. He reconfirmed music is a universal language that can make him going forward. Moved to London in 2020, one performance on the street made him gain 10,000 Instagram followers over night. Kenta continues his best performance on the street as well as on the stage.
