今作品は、これまでよりも深い位置で音楽を表現することを目的として制作されたが、アルバム全体を通してJ-Pop的な聴きやすさを失うことなく完成させた。
ノスタルジーな印象を受ける「ネバーレットミーゴー」ではパラレル感や浮遊感を存分に演出し、冒頭から繰り返すギターリフには中毒に近いものがある。
また、オルタナリフが印象的な「Sleepy」や「マジックパレード」では軽快さとエモーショナルを融合し、00年代のJ-Popの意思を引き継いでいると感じさせる。スピッツや中村一義と言ったポップでありロックなアーティストを思わせるメロディーセンスは相変わらずだ。
サビのリズムがクセになる「黄昏て」は、暖かな雰囲気がありインディーロック調のリフから曲に入るが、一度聴けば歌いたくなるサビは迫力と存在感を感じる一曲である。
アルバムを通してオルタナもポップも楽しめるバラエティに富んだ作品となっている。

OLIVES
The band OLIVES has many characteristics, such as a unique beautiful voice, original and sometimes destructive developments, and avant-garde yet somehow nostalgic melodies. Most of the songs aren't upbeat, but they have an excellent sense of melody and are rather catchy. Vocalist Osamu Hashida, who is in charge of songwriting, is influenced by GRAPEVINE and Mr.Children, and his work strongly reflects elements of UK alternative music such as Radiohead and U2. Also, the poems Hashida writes are not about someone else's or his experiences, but about his own life in a vivid and naked way. However, he is also a normal human being, and I think many people can empathize with the emotions that anyone can experience.
