The moniker blends his real name, Soma, with Sol, the Latin word for the sun. It embodies his wish to be a presence that gently illuminates the heart of someone just by being there, even if he does not shine intensely every single day. After a youth spent channeling unutterable feelings into music, the loss of a close friend became the catalyst for him to start composing, viewing music as a way to leave behind proof of his existence. Influenced by the introspective depth of Frank Ocean and the elusive, effortless nature of Fujii Kaze, Solma distills his own life experiences into his art without any pretense. Having officially launched his release campaign in 2025, Solma continues to craft songs that cast a quiet light on the lives of others, offering a reason to face tomorrow.
