MANTRA I ~Kokiriko Bushi~

A new, groundbreaking project focusing on Japanese culture by beatmaker IRONSTONE, who has consistently released magical beats centred on DRILL and TRAP.

Throughout the album, he utilises a range of traditional Japanese instruments, including the taiko drum, shakuhachi, koto and shamisen, as well as the ryūteki and Nohkan flutes, the shō,a familiar instrument in Gagaku and Buddhist ritual instruments such as the mokugyo and kyō.

This is Bass Music crafted by blending these sounds with traditional Japanese folk songs and Buddhist sutras.

This work combines [Kokiriko-bushi] said to be Japanese oldest folk song with the Mantra for Awakening the Mind of Enlightenment, and is presented as a new form of dance music for Japanese summer festivals and Bon odori.
