Some people call it a fire, burning fast and wild
But flames can fade when the night grows mild
Some people call it a dream too soft to stay
But dreams can live beyond the break of day
Some people call it a game that hearts can lose
But love’s no rule that we can choose
Some people call it a storm that tears apart
But peace can bloom inside the heart
Let it breathe, let it grow
Through the storm, let it show
Every scar, every tear is shining through
Let it rise, let it shine
Through the dark, over time
Every heart finds a way to start anew
Some people lose their faith
But I know love becomes something new
Some people think life’s a song that fades too soon
But echoes linger beneath the moon
Some people say the night will never end
But dawn is waiting just around the bend
Every winter ends, and flowers bloom again
Every broken soul can learn to mend
Time can steal, but love remains
In every heart that speaks your name
Let it breathe, let it grow
Through the storm, let it show
Every scar, every tear is shining through
Let it rise, let it shine
Through the dark, over time
Every heart finds a way to start anew
Some people lose their faith
But I know love becomes something new
Some people call it love…
But I call it you

Something New
Hayato Yamaoka
"Something New" a ballad of new beginnings, written and performed entirely in English by Hayato Yamaoka.
- From the place you thought was the end, something new begins. -
There are moments in life when we find ourselves standing somewhere far from the future we once imagined.
Things we have lost, relationships that have changed, and time we can never return to.
And yet, those experiences do not simply disappear.
One day, they begin to carry a different meaning, gently leading us toward the next step.
"Something New" is a song about moving forward without denying the scars and tears we carry.
Beginning with a quiet piano and gradually opening like light breaking through, its sound paints a picture of rebirth beyond what once felt like an ending.
Love does not always remain in the same form.
But even as it changes, it continues to live on within someone.
For those who have had to let something go.
For everyone trying to begin again.
A hopeful ballad, sung by Hayato Yamaoka.
