Boxes on the wooden floor
Sunlight sliding through the door
Echoes in an empty frame
Calling out your name
Curtains sway with northern breeze
Memories hiding in the trees
A kettle sings, the window glows
Time moves soft and slow
In this new villa, I breathe again
Painting dreams on windowpanes
Steps uncertain, yet I stay
Learning how to find my way
In this new villa…
Old postcards in your coat
Letters that you never wrote
Tea left cooling by the bed
Stories spinning in my head
No map, no plan, just sky and land
I light a lamp with trembling hands
This house may hold what I let in
So I begin…
In this new villa, the silence speaks
Of something fragile, something deep
I place my fears on the windowsill
And breathe you in until I’m still
In this new villa…
And when the blossoms start to fall
I’ll be ready after all…

Artist Profile
starclime
There are still landscapes in music that we have yet to see. starclime is a fourteen-member music project. Taking City Pop as one of its starting points, starclime moves freely through rock, jazz, soul, R&B,EDM, classical music, ambient, experimental music, hip-hop, and musical traditions from around the world. Rather than remaining within a single genre, the project absorbs the colour, rhythm, culture and atmosphere of different forms of music, reshaping them into something new. The changing seasons. Journeys towards unfamiliar places. Memories of somewhere to return to. The distance between people. Feelings that lie beyond words. These landscapes and emotions flow throughout the music of starclime. Some things can only be expressed through song. Others only begin to reveal themselves when words disappear. For starclime, vocal works and instrumentals therefore belong equally to the same musical world. Each member brings a different musical background and a different perspective to every work, while some continue to discover and develop their own musical identity. Rather than preserving a single finished form, starclime allows the music itself to grow through change. starclime does not seek simply to add more genres. Its aim is to renew the way music itself can be perceived through the meeting of different musical worlds. Towards music that has yet to be named. Towards landscapes we have yet to discover. starclime will continue to present new ways of seeing and hearing music.
