HONEY meets ISLAND CAFE - Sea of Love 8- Collaboration with SHONAN by the Sea

The 33rd edition of "HONEY meets ISLAND CAFE", the gold standard of surf music compilation supervised by "HONEY" magazine, is the 8th edition of the popular series "Sea of Love", which collects "ocean" music by Japanese artists! All songs by 17 artists have been newly recorded!
The genre-less lineup, gathered with "sea" as the keyword, includes artists representing the ongoing city pop music, newcomers from the sub-school generation, charismatic singers who have been active since the 90s, club DJs, and artists who continue to be loved by the surfing scene. All artists will participate with new recordings that "feel the sea" for this event!
And this time, a collaboration with FM Yokohama's very popular program "SHONAN by the Sea" has been realized! Of course, the program includes works by artists who have close ties with the program's DJ, Fumika Hideshima. Songs that remind you of Shonan, the sea, and summer will be introduced in the program from May through the end of summer. Fumika Hideshima's title call for the album intro is also included.
The jacket is a collaboration of surf photos by Yasuma Miura, a photographer based in Kamakura, Shonan, and Masato Maekawa (tAnkers Inc.), who works extensively on apparel lookbooks and illustrations. The jackets of not only the album but also the single distribution are all composed of photos of Shonan!
