Using sound as stage design, and music as a device that regenerates thought and aesthetics,
this is the first album by the music/visual project A Concrete Mur,
exploring the intersection of structure and perception.
Starting from a contemporary sensibility in which the distance between subculture and mainstream culture has collapsed,
the project attempts to reinterpret underground theater through sound alone.
Sonic experiments, fragmented pop elements, and distorted forms of festivity interfere with one another,
while three vocalists, spoken word, and language arranged as signs
give rise to a single structure across the album as a whole.
A multidisciplinary art collective that constructs language as signs and sound as stage design, presenting an expansion of auditory perception. The core members are Takaki Nishimura (founder of FOXPILL CULT), Kouya Juusangatsu (ex. Kaiten Hyakume), Mari Komoda (second-generation director of Showa Seigo Office), and Sui. In 2026, they released their debut album Meishin. Drawing on their deep involvement in Japan's underground theater, goth, and new wave scenes, they founded Gendai Zikken Kan, developing a mode of expression they describe as "Post-Underground." They regard their respective artistic practices and works not as fixed, finished products, but as documents continually transformed through recording, reenactment, and falsification. Their creative practice takes the very boundary between art and reality as its subject.
