Driven by a light, grooving blend of funk and acid jazz, "UKIYO" looks at human contradictions, bravado, and the strange resilience it takes to keep going. The title plays on two Japanese words with the same pronunciation: "ukiyo," meaning "the floating world," and another "ukiyo," meaning "this troubled world." A song about smiling a little, and moving forward again.
