The grand intro, woven from the powerful resonance of the taiko drums and the sharp, poignant tones of the shamisen, draws listeners into a serene abyss. It's not just a quiet space, but one where the delicate emotions of a woman harboring a burning passion lie dormant. This track boldly incorporates traditional Japanese instruments, the taiko and shamisen, fusing them with modern sound to create a uniquely new musical world. It delves into the universal theme of love, but with a raw, profound depth.

Uncontrollable obsession for a loved one, hatred for betrayal, and the strong will to overcome it all these emotions are explosively unleashed by the vocals that suddenly emerge in the middle of the song. The raw power of the traditional Japanese instruments and the soul-stirring voice unite, gripping the listener's heart and refusing to let go. This song is not just an emotional outpouring. It contains a message that deeply questions the listener's own inner self about the joy, pain, and strength that love brings. It's a universal story of emotion that transcends time and borders, resonating with everyone.

This is the full English-lyric version of the song, which is included on the full album, Dead or Alive. Produced to transcend language barriers and resonate directly with people all over the world, the straightforward and powerful English lyrics awaken a passion sleeping deep within the listener's heart, offering a different experience from the Japanese version. "Shodo" represents the new musical form presented by Shamirock Kamii. This song, where tradition and innovation intersect, will "move up" your musical experience and your emotions to a new height.

For Kumamoto, Japan-born Hiroharu Kamii, traditional Japanese instruments like Wa-daiko (Japanese Drum) and Shamisen (three-stringed lute instrument) and traditional Japanese music like Min'yō (Japanese folk music) have always been a part of his life because of his family. His earliest musical experiences came from his father, a Wa-daiko drummer who founded the Ozu-daiko style, and his mother, a Min'yō singer; he got his start on stage performing Wa-daiko and Min'yō with his brothers. At age 22, he began an 8-year education of the Tsugaru-jamisen style under master musician Tendai Fukui. From 2008-2011 Hiroharu was a singer, songwriter and drummer in the visual kei rock band LEON.
