Guiding the listener through this journey is a haunting Koto refrain interwoven into the intro, interlude, and ending. The tense dialogue between this beautiful Koto melody and modern, urban synthesizer textures creates a nostalgic yet uniquely shadowy atmosphere.

Artist Profile

  • Miki Mineo

    Marimba & Vibraphone player. Composer for the independent sci-fi suspense short film "U - The Rebels Journey." I also scored the comedy short film "Over The Dream" directed by Hiroshi Kashiwabara, which will be screened at short film festivals in Tokyo and Kyoto in 2026. For my very first film scoring project, "U - The Rebels Journey," I won the Outstanding Achievement Award for Best Original Score at the Indie Short Fest in Los Angeles (June 2025). Having scored these two distinct films, I have become deeply captivated by the art of film music. I constantly strive to create music that captures the atmospheric essence of visuals and enhances the storytelling. All tracks are produced entirely via DTM, featuring my own live recordings of marimba, vibraphone, and piano. My specialty lies in creating music for suspense and mystery genres.
