Hitomi Ueda is a Japanese jazz pianist. She learned classical piano from a young age and later switched to jazz. In 2003, she released her first leader album "Applause" and in 2008, she published "American Standard Songbook". Her playing is characterized by melodic phrasing and beautiful chord work.
