"Materia" is a collaborative album by rapper TORAUMA and beatmaker/rapper Shiso.

Shiso has produced many of TORAUMA's signature tracks, including "Tsubaki", Tsubaki 2", "Abyss", "Paranoia", and "Hibikari (feat. Shuuto)".

In 2023, the track "Tsubaki" went viral on TikTok, reached No.1 on Billboard JAPAN's Heatseekers Songs chart in June, and its music video surpassed 7 million views.

After releasing their previous EP "Arise", named after a full-healing white magic spell, Shiso returned from a period away from music. This album marks their long-awaited reunion. Inspired by their favorite video games, the album was titled "Materia".

In those games, Materia are magical orbs that grant abilities when equipped to weapons. They imagined what it would be like if music worked the same way. Each track is made to be something you can "equip" in your own life, offering strength, comfort, or a spark of power in different moments.

    TORAUMA / Rapper Member of M.S.W and Final Weapon Company TORAUMA's music is characterized by catchy melodies and lyrics that describe the pain and struggles he has felt in his life over a variety of beats. Born 1991 in Towada, Aomori, Japan. He started rapping at home after discovering Internet rap in high school. Later, he worked in the Kanto area with his style of jumping into various rough waves by himself. After returning to Aomori for two years, he was invited by 604 rappers MAVEL and HANG to sing with them in Okinawa, and moved to Okinawa in a light car and joined 604. He later joined Final Weapon Company (FWC), which is led by HANG and includes TSUBAKI, TOCCHI, beat maker hokuto, and others.

    Born in Kumamoto, Japan in 1990 and currently resides in Chiba, Japan. His first encounter with hiphop was in junior high school. He started his career in the countryside without any friends, and as a result, he became a DIY artist who does everything himself, including beats, recording, mixing, etc. As a beatmaker, he mainly plays boombap, and his specialty is chill sounds with jazz elements. As a beatmaker, he specializes in boombap-based chill sounds with jazz elements, and as a rapper, he is a versatile player characterized by his skillful rapping and smooth flow. In addition to his solo and CREW activities, he was active in Tokyo and on the Internet, providing music to TORAUMA (rapper), but then went on a temporary hiatus.
