  • Mahlova

    Formed in 2020, the band is composed of Kyohei Oguma (Vo/G), Kotaro Hasegawa (Lead Gt), Naoki Nishikata (Key), Tomohiro Tsuchida (Ba), and Keita Yamada (Dr). Their music is characterized by emotional vocals that resonate through each song; guitars that use tremor and reverb as their weapon; and dreamy synthesizer tones that evoke a floating sensation. The rhythm section, which defines the band unique sound, creates grooves that enhance their lyrical and emotional performances. In November 2022, they released their first single Antan, inspired by Natsume Soseki's novel Kokoro. Their second single Tanjou expressed themes like "life and death" and "the fragility of the human heart" through a psychedelic lens, reaching 8th place on Apple Music's Top Psychedelic Songs chart. In March 2024, they will release their first full-length album Muimi (Meaningless), a culmination of their journey so far. In an era overflowing with meaning, this album boldly presents something completely "meaningless". Listeners are encouraged to experience the album and ponder what this "meaninglessness" truly represents.
