Manakurv, the heart and soul of forte as a trackmaker and producer, is finally releasing his highly anticipated debut album. Titled "When It Rains It Pours", the album is a concept album centered around the theme of rain, offering a rich sense of unity and a cinematic auditory experience throughout. The falling raindrops, wet asphalt, and fleeting rays of light piercing through the overcast sky-such scenes are meticulously woven into the beats and soundscapes.
Manakurv, who also handles engineering, has maintained a perfect self-made spirit in this work, handling everything from production, mixing, mastering, to even the jacket design himself. As a result, the sound and visuals form a cohesive world.
The guest lineup is also diverse, featuring Sogabe Konatsu's transparent vocals in "Window",two tracks by HAIIRO DE ROSSI that blend sharpness and warmth, Warushi's abstract presence, crime6 (STERUSS)'s heavy and highlight-worthy rap, and Izumi Makura's fragile and soft voice. Each guest interprets the theme of rain and seamlessly blends into the soundscapes presented by Manakurv.
The fact that all artists from forte participated in this project also reflects the trust Manakurv has built.
In particular, the lead single released in 2023, "Window feat. Sogabe Konatsu," effortlessly crosses the boundaries of hip-hop, pop, and alternative genres, sparking genre-defying buzz on social media and music platforms.
